Corduroy Jacket Woolrich Women's Kinsdale Corduroy Jacket

Size large jackets are sometimes a bit big on me, and mediums are usually small (I am 5'8" and about 145lbs, with a reasonably slender build but with a somewhat ample bust). However, since I prefer my jackets not to be tight, I usually buy a size large. Woolrich also usually runs true to size, so I ordered a large in this one.

Unfortunately, the large fit like a shirt, not a jacket, so, while it did fit, it was too small to comfortably wear a turtleneck or other cool weather shirt under it. I returned it and ordered an XL, which, while a bit wide at the bottom for me, was just right to wear as a comfortable outer layer over a shirt or even a fleece.

It's really beautiful, now that I have it in a size that fits, and I expect to get a lot of wear out of it.

Moral of the story: If you are slender, have a smaller bust, and prefer more form fitting jackets, this runs true to size. If you like a little more room to wear other garments under it, or have bigger shoulders or bustline, you should go one size up from your regular size
